In October 1882, ten years after the incorporation of the town of Mullins, the Mt. Olive Baptist Church was organized by a group of sixteen persons led by Brother Calvin Gerald. Being sons and daughters of slaves and former slaves themselves, the group set out from Nazarene Baptist Church, less than twenty years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, to organize a Baptist Church.

Tithes & Offerings

Giving tithes and offerings is important for supporting the activities and growth of our church. It allows us to fulfill our mission to serve the community, maintain the church building, and support the pastors and staff who lead our congregation.
